22 Jan Ben Rosenblatt
Dr. Ben Rosenblatt is the Lead Men’s Physical Performance Coach at the Football Association. Over the past 12 years in elite sport he has worked with coaches, athletes and medical teams to develop bespoke physical training solutions to the sports performance problems they are trying to solve. This has included coaching Judo fighters to Olympic and European medals, the GB women’s Hockey team to European and Olympic champions and the England men’s football team to the World Cup semi-finals. Much of this success has come from his formative experiences working as part of a MDT rehabilitating elite athletes at the Intensive rehabilitation Unit of the BOA and EIS and the Olympic Medical Institute and completing his PhD in the biomechanics of exercise selection to improve sprint performance. During his talk he will describe his experiences of rehabilitating and trying to prevent ACL injuries in order to deliver some principles which could be applied in different environments.
