Chris Ronald

Associate Director of Football Performance & Director of Sport Science

Chris Ronald joined the UCLA football staff in 2018 as Associate Director of Human Performance and Director of Sports Science. In his current role, he is responsible for the programming and implementation of physical preparation protocols for all Front Seven position groups, which includes Linebackers, Tight Ends, and Snappers, as well as oversees all sport science data collection, analysis, and reporting to coaches and support staff.

Prior to his current role at UCLA, Chris worked in a similar capacity at the University of Virginia for two seasons (2016-2017), and at the University of Kentucky from 2012 to 2016. Prior to his time at Kentucky, Chris spent the 2012 season with the Jacksonville Jaguars and has provided athlete tracking consultation for the Miami Dolphins and Buffalo Bills.

Chris received his Bachelor’s Degree in Recreation and Leisure Studies from Brock University in 2007, and his Master’s Degree in Sports Administration from Marshall University in 2010.
