The Hill Academy
Hockey Program. Dan specializes in fostering the development of elite athletes through a process that focuses on mastering efficient movement patterns, mechanics and creating sustainable, adaptable athletes (“Training Movement Over Muscle”). A number of athletes that have developed through Coach Noble’s program have gone on to become first round OHL and NHL draft picks. Dan also works with some of the top lacrosse players in the world and a number of NCAA athletes.
Dan speaks and presents on many different topics, but specializes in the art of coaching and motivating athletes who are in the process of transitioning to the professional level. He is a mentor to many athletes and believes strongly in a multi-faceted approach to athletic development. Dan challenges athletes to be difference makers not only on the playing surface, but also in life.
Prior to working with The Hill Academy and launching Noble Sports and Performance, Dan played professional football in Europe as well as for the University of Guelph. It was in Guelph where Dan mentored under performance specialist Chris Mumford and world-renowned strength coach Vern Gambetta. Dan works closely with leaders in the strength and conditioning community to ensure evidence-based and relevant training practices in order to stay up to date on best practice for our athletes.
Dan obtained his Bachelors degree from the University of Guelph and received his Masters of Science in Education from D’Youville College. He is an Ontario Certified Teacher (OCT), Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) and proud husband of Crystal and father to Kaden and Isla.
