Simon is currently the head of strength & conditioning for Manchester City’s 1st team, a position that he has held for 10 seasons. His main role is to effectively lead the management and delivery of all strength & conditioning practices within the 1st team training and rehabilitation environment. Simon has also provided support for the youth and women’s sectors within the football club.
Prior to this, Simon completed a similar role with Blackburn Rovers football club for 3 seasons. He also completed several internships within club/international rugby union and completed several years as a personal trainer within a health club environment prior to his involvement in professional sport.
He holds an honors degree in sport & exercise science from Loughborough University and a masters degree in strength & conditioning from Salford University. He has also been further certified through the NSCA, NASM, BWL and Kinetic control.
