The PLAE Perform staff, led by Ron McKeefery, is composed of highly experienced coaches that have worked alongside elite athletes and S&C departments across the globe. Their collective expertise and passion for their craft drives PLAE Perform’s reputation for delivering credible, dynamic training to athletes of all skill levels.
Coach McKeefery, M.A., MSCCC, CSCS*D, is the VP of Performance and Education for PLAE and has been working as a strength and conditioning coach at the Professional and Collegiate level for over 20 years. McKeefery was named Collegiate Strength Coach of the Year in 2008 & 2016, and has had the privilege of working with over 80 players that have gone on to play in the NFL. In addition to a successful coaching career, McKeefery is also the best-selling author of CEO Strength Coach.
Coach Viola, M.A., C.S.C.S., USAW, FMS, is the Director of Performance for PLAE. She has been working as a collegiate strength and conditioning coach for the last six years. Previously at Rutgers University, Viola was the Assistant Director and coached a variety of sports from Lacrosse to Rowing. Viola was a four-year letter winner for the Division 1 Stony Brook Women’s Soccer Team. Viola also played semi-pro soccer for three years with the Long Island Lady Rough Riders.
Rudy Thomas, MS, CSCS, SCCC is the Assistant Director of Education and Performance for PLAE Perform and has been serving as a strength and conditioning coach at the professional, college and high school levels for the past 15 years including 2018 where he served as Director of International Performance in China. Thomas was the 2008 John Stucky award winner for the Collegiate Strength and Conditioning Coaches Association. In addition to coaching, Thomas has had the opportunity to direct education in fitness in the private sector, own a business, write, and teach as an adjunct professor.
